The technology of today is old by tomorrow; therefore, a teacher has to be aware of the new advancements in technology. I have some vague knowledge of Classroom Response Systems (CRS) which allows a teacher to ask convergent and divergent questions, and receive immediate feedback. Discussion boards or chat rooms are some ways that technology can be used to answer convergent and divergent questions. I am not too keen on their uses in the classroom.
As a teacher, technology will continue become pervasive in the classroom and I will have to go to seminars on the advancements of technology in education to be knowledgeable. I will convey to my students these advances, that they may already be knowledgeable. I will use the Internet and Power Point mainly to instruct my students, and incorporate any other types of technology that I feel will better help to educate the different types of learners in my classroom.

Prompt #2- Indentfying Technology in the Classroom
As a student, technology has played an efficacious and inefficacious role throughout. I recall the use of the annoying projector to watch movies. Through advancement, movies changed from film to compact discs; used to compare and contrast a book of the same title.
When I entered college, I was introduced to my the professors' notes being presented in Power Point to lecture to the class, and now has become pervasive in my college classrooms. Power Point is used by some of my professors and by many of my classmates, and the insertion of links to other websites or You Tube is routinely incorporated into the lesson or project.

Prompt #1-Technology Throughout My Education
As an elementary student, learning about spelling and grammar were significant and taught through lecture by my teachers with the use of reading books and writing on the chalkboard. I do not believe that technology played a role in my education in those early years.
As a I graduated into middle and high school education, the use of technology gradually played a small role. We watched movies on television in class that pertained to the lesson. I was instructed to use the Internet to write research papers when books did not provide current information.
During my adult college years, I use the Internet mainly to become more knowledgeable in areas that I were lacking, and when I need current and various information for projects and research papers. During my field experience observations, I learned about the SMART board. The teachers I observed also incorporated You Tube and Power Point into the lessons. During a discussion on the role of technology in education and education portfolios, I have became acquainted with the Library of Congress website last year.
